Author

John. He was a son of Zebedee; a brother of James, a disciple of Jesus, an apostle. Also wrote four other New Testament books: the three letters called I John, 2 John, and 3 John, and the book called Revelation.

Purpose

According to John 20:31, “...these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”

Seven signs, and a great sign
