| 1 | In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. |
| 2 | And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. |
| 3 | And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. |
| 4 | And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. |
| 5 | And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. |
| 14 | And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: |
| 15 | And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. |
| 16 | And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. |
| 17 | And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, |
| 18 | And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. |
| 19 | And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. |
| 1 | In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. |
| 2 | The same was in the beginning with God. |
| 3 | All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. |
| 4 | In him was life; and the life was the light of men. |
| 5 | And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. |
| 5 | This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. |
| 6 | If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: |
| 7 | But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. |
| 29 | For thou art my lamp, O LORD: And the LORD will lighten my darkness. |
| 28 | For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. |
| 9 | For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. |
| 4 | Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. |
| 105 | Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. |
| 18 | But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. |

| 8 | Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me. |
| 12 | Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee; |
| 13 | And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim: |
| 14 | That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, |
| 15 | The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; |
| 16 | The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. |
| 34 | The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. |
| 35 | Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. |
| 36 | If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light. |
| 19 | And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. |
| 12 | Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. |

| 5 | Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. |
| 9 | But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: |

| 10 | He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. |
| 11 | But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes. |
| 23 | And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. |
| 24 | And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. |
| 25 | And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. |
